halva, which originated in Turkey, means 'sweet' in Arabic. when sprinkled over the walnut granola, the combination of walnuts & coconut will make you warm & cozy this MNDAY morning!

(serves 4 & takes 25 minutes)
ingredients
1 cup chopped raw walnuts 1 cup rolled oats ¼ tsp sea salt 2 tbsp cocoa powder ¼ cup unsweetened coconut flakes ¼ cup maple syrup 2 tsp vanilla extract ¼ cup of your favorite nut butter 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
halva, for topping (I used my favorite, Seed + Mill)
procedure
1. preheat oven to 350° & line baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. in a medium bowl, mix together the walnuts, oats, salt, cocoa powder, coconut flakes, maple syrup, vanilla extract, nut butter, & butter. 3. spread the mixture on the parchment paper & bake for 15 minutes. let cool. 4. top a bowl of yogurt or oatmeal with the granola & crumble your favorite halva over the granola.
