walnut cinnamon pear crisp

the warm & cozy walnut cinnamon pear crisp pairs deliciously with a fresh cup of iced lemon juice & a day indoors.

(serves 9 & takes 10 minutes + 55 minutes in oven)


cups all-purpose flour

½ cup oats

cup brown sugar

tsp cinnamon

½ cup walnuts, chopped

¼ cup butter, melted

4 medium Bartlett pears, cut into ¼" slices

¼ cup maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract


1. preheat oven to 350°F. grease a baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

2. for the topping, in a large bowl, combine flour, oats, sugar, ¼ tsp cinnamon, walnuts, & melted butter. place bowl in the fridge until ready to use.

3. for the filling, in another large bowl, toss together pears, maple syrup, remaining 1 tsp cinnamon, & vanilla. add cup of topping mixture into pear mixture. place pear mixture into prepared pan & sprinkle the remaining topping.

4. bake 55 minutes & serve.
