Jun 17, 2019buttermilk panna cottaUpdated: Jul 11, 2019sweet & fresh, this panna cotta will add brightness to your summery MNDAY morning! (makes 4 servings & takes 20 minutes + chilling overnight) ingredients 1 1/4 cups heavy cream7 tbsp sugar1/4 tsp fine sea salt1 1/2 tsp unflavored powdered gelatin1/2 vanilla bean, split lengthwise1 3/4 cups buttermilk 1 cup strawberries, sliced lengthwise4 stems of mint leaves procedure1. place heavy cream, sugar, & salt in a small saucepan. scrape seeds from vanilla bean into pan, & add the bean too. 2. heat cream mixture over medium heat & stir until sugar is dissolved (don't overheat, as the gelatin will deactivate). 3. reduce heat to very low, sprinkle gelatin on top, & stir until gelatin dissolves. 4. remove from heat & add buttermilk. strain mixture. 5. pour mixture into clear glasses, or ones similar to the ones pictured above, cover with plastic wrap, & refrigerate overnight. 6. place strawberries & a stem of mint leaves on each of the panna cotta glasses & serve. enjoy!
